Do The Thrashers Have Large Talons?

Thrashers 2nd Least Injured Team

James Mirtle has the final end of season man games lost to injury up on his blog. As I mentioned recently in a post the Thrashers were very fortunate during the last two seasons that they were rather healthy. According to Mirtle's ranking the Thrashers were the 2nd most healthy team in the NHL. Were are all those people who wanted to fire the trainer after Kari's groin problems?

  • I know this is unrelated, but wanted to comment on an earlier blog you posted back in February about prospects in free agency.

Look at Johann Franzen for Detroit. You were right to include him in a good acquisition. He had a hat trick last night vs. Colorado in Round 2 of the playoffs, and 5 goals in the playoffs. Also, he has scored at least 22 goals since March. It may have taken him a while to wake up, but when it counts, that overshadows statistics. If he is a free agent in July, he definitely is going to get some looks from some teams who could use him.
